I just learned About something interesting. Apperently Masahiro Sakurai, creator of Kirby and smash bros, is a VR enthusiast.

In fact, he was approached by oculus Who asked sakurai if he was interested in developing for the rift. Obviously he didn’t do it, not yet at least.
smash bros needed to happen, and sakurai seemed to know this, explaining how developing for the rift would mean he couldn’t focus on the task at hand. He has continued to praise virtual reality however.
he mentions virtual reality a lot it seems. He even visited facebooks headquarters and tried out the pacific rim 2 VR experience.
